Wildlife officers are hunting a crocodile, reportedly spotted on North Stradbroke Island off Brisbane.

The 3-metre crocodile was seen by a tourism operator, who was leading a kayak tour this morning.

Mark Jones says he initially thought it was a small log, before it went under the water and back up again.

People have been told to stay away from the area, while officers investigate whether it’s a credible sighting.
