Australia’s country music artists say they’re disappointed the 50th Tamworth Country Music Festival has been pushed back.

But country music artist Adam Harvey told Mark Levy it was the right decision.

“I think the town of Tamworth itself, they’ve already got a lot of problems with COVID.

“I think they did the right thing and they’re going to have the … festival will run from April 18.”

Harvey added the next few weeks are critical for the music industry as a whole.

“I think as long as we stay at the one person per two-square-metre rule, I think most of the touring shows will go ahead.

“If they go to the four-square-metre rule, that’ll spell the end of another year for most of the touring shows.”
