Michael McLaren has warned that a four-day work week proposal put forward by Queensland Labor will cause economic disaster.

He says that while it might sound like a good idea in practice, in reality the outcome will be extremely different, with productivity set to be heavily impacted.

“This is voodoo economics now, where bailouts are applied instead of fixing the fundamentals that make industry uncompetitive in the first place,” he said.
