At this stage in his career, Ray Hadley would expect there’s no story that could shock him to his core.

He spoke with hostages during the tense hours of the Lindt Café siege and broke the startling news of Princess Diana’s death.

But the contents of conversations that played out on a private, online chatroom involving Knox Grammar students has rattled the veteran broadcaster.

The Daily Telegraph crime editor Mark Morri last night sent Ray images of some of the vile content posted to the Discord server, ‘Gang Gang’.

“Now, nothing should shock me after four decades in the media, but I can tell you this is a shock,” Ray said this morning.

“To read and see what young men from privileged backgrounds at Knox have posted is both astounding and frightening.”
