A 24-hour COVID-19 testing clinic will be stood up at Eight Mile Plains today.

From 12pm, people can get tested at the Eight Mile Plains Community Health Centre on McKechnie Drive.

Queensland Ambulance Service said the clinic is in response to the recent COVID-19 outbreaks in the south-east.

“The outbreaks are at Eatons Hill, Spring Hill, Hamilton, the Gold Coast, Cannon Hill, Carindale,” Neil Breen said.

“So, Eight Mile Plains, not really convenient for those people, is it?

“The plot’s thickening on these COVID outbreaks.”
