The performance Ray Hadley says ‘we all needed’
The Celtic Tenors have performed a song in-studio which is very dear to Ray Hadley’s heart.
Ray welcomed the Irish group who provided some much-needed “respite” from the federal election.
The trio is known the world over for its a cappella performances of both Celtic and pop songs.
Ray asked them to sing the ballad “Danny Boy” that reminds him of his late father.
“With a bit of liquid amber on board, he’d launch into ‘Danny Boy’ every chance he got,” says Ray.
“So every time I hear ‘Danny Boy’ I sort of fall to pieces to a certain extent.”
