The groceries expected to soar in price after Victoria’s flood crisis

The cost of some basic groceries is expected to rise as flooding wipes out crops in NSW and Victoria.
Floodwaters have hit key farming areas from Shepparton to the Goulburn Valley, where livestock and crops have been impacted.
The federal government has warned the crisis will put more pressure on household budgets.
“We’re talking things like wheat, so your bread will go up, your milk will go up – some of the cows have been affected, of course,” Today reporter Mia Glover told Laurel, Gary & Mark.
“Get ready for the next couple of weeks because things are going to really spike at the supermarkets.”
