The festival ground slated for south-east Qld to rival Coachella

The company behind south-east Queensland’s landmark Eatons Hill and Sandstone Point hotels have unveiled plans for a massive festival venue.

The Comiskey Group yesterday announced its next venture set at a 150-hectare site south of Caloundra, dubbed Coochin Falls.

The grounds, which are equivalent to 22 football fields, are slated to have the potential to match famous festivals like Coachella.

Group Director Rob Comiskey told Sofie Formica the location was purchased in mid-2021.

“It’s like a natural festival site,” he said. “Since then, we’ve been talking to Council and putting together some plans to bring some small and some large events to south-east Queensland.

“Whatever plans you’ve got in your head, they’re going to be different!”
