Todd Woodbridge says the top tennis stars will be challenged by the chasing pack of emerging young players.

The tennis great and WWOS commentator joined Peter Psaltis on Tuesday night’s show.

Psalty said the “chasing pack” of new talent was as close as they’ve ever been.

“They are believers,” Woodbridge said in response.

“They now think they can get Novak, and if you can get Novak, you can get Roger, and we are probably not going to see him again.

“We don’t know what [Rafael Nadal] is going to be like in the new year because he hasn’t played since the semis at Roland Garros and he’s had surgery.”

He said there’s a generation or two under the likes of Novak Djokovic and Bernard Tomic, hoping to topple them.
