The Big Bash returns along with legendary commentator

The Big Bash is back tonight and one of Australia’s most experienced commentators makes his return as well.

The new season kicks off with the Sydney Smash between the Thunder and the Sixers, and our own David ‘Thirsty’ Morrow will call all the action on sister station Talking Lifestyle.

Thirsty tells Mark Levy Spotless Stadium will be packed to the brim.

“There will be an enormous atmosphere there, as there always is for the Sydney Derby. It only holds so many people so it will be jam-packed.

“I know some people are coming up from Bathurst to watch.”

David says calling Twenty20 cricket is a special kind of challenge.

“It’s frantic in those last five overs. Everything seems to go at a million miles an hour and of course, they’ve got those time constraints.”

You can hear David’s Big Bash commentary with Glen McGrath on Talking Lifestyle tonight from 7pm.
