Alan Jones has received a hilarious update on the dating world as a new event promises to make people “be the most datable version of themselves”.

The Single & Ready 2 Mingle Expo is happening on the Gold Coast this week, giving those lonely hearts every change to find Mr of Mrs Right.

Dianne Happ is the founder of the event and says she and her daughter came up with the idea with a group of girlfriends.

The expo will have speed dating, live blind dating, expert relationship advice as well as bars and food stalls.

Dianne tells Alan it came it’s become almost impossible to meet a partner these days.

“No one’s meeting anyone, it’s not working any more.

“So, we thought we’d throw them all under one roof and see what happens,” she laughs.

Dianne also had some expert tips for guys setting up an online dating profile, with a very big ‘no, no’ when it comes to choosing what pictures to use.
