Police have charged a teen boy with manslaughter after an alleged joyride in a stolen car ended in tragedy in Cairns. 

The 14-year-old was allegedly driving a hatchback when it crossed onto the wrong side of the road and crashed into a tree on Monday.

Another 14-year-old boy, who was inside the car, couldn’t be saved.

The alleged driver is due to appear in the Cairns Children’s Court this week.
