A 16-year-old boy has been charged after an alleged stabbing at Blacks Beach yesterday.

A 23-year-old woman was sunbathing at Blacks Beach when she was allegedly confronted by a male unknown to her and stabbed multiple times in the neck and body.

The boy allegedly fled the scene.

The woman managed to acquire help from nearby tradesmen, and was transported to hospital in a serious condition.

A 16-year-old was charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and has been refused bail.

He will appear at the Mackay Children’s Court today.
