Sydney-based tech incubator Cicada Innovations has been named Top Incubator in the World.

The Redfern-based hub was awarded the top gong by the International Business Innovation Association at its annual awards in Dalla, Texas.

It took out the award for its dedication to science-based innovations aimed at solving global challenges.
