Stuart Diver bounces back after the death of his second wife

Article image for Stuart Diver bounces back after the death of his second wife

20 years ago, Stuart Diver became a household name as the only survivor of the Thredbo landslide.

He lay trapped next to his wife Sally for 65 hours and watched as she passed away.

Years later he found love again and married Rosanna Cossettini.

On their honeymoon she was diagnosed with breast cancer and died in 2015, leaving Stuart heartbroken once again and leaving their daughter without a mum.

After years out of the public spotlight, Stuart has decided it’s time to bounce back once again, accepting a role as ambassador for the Breast Cancer Network.

He tells Alan Jones it was time to get back on the horse and help others going through a tough time.

“You feel very very helpless in a lot of ways. I’m a big advocate of mental health professionals.

“I’m a product of 20 years of on and off use of a psychologist.”
