QLD weather: State’s north cops incredibly heavy deluge

Some parts of the state are being drenched by heavy rain, with one town copping 362mm yesterday.
There are a number of weather warnings in place.
The Bureau of Meteorology says the highest falls have been recorded at Stony Creek, where 362mm fell yesterday.
A man and woman have been rescued after they became stranded in their cars in floodwaters in Townsville.
The SES has received 30 calls for help in Townsville, mostly for sandbagging and leaky roofs.
A severe weather warning for heavy rain remains in place.
