Specialist federal police officers have been deployed to Kendall to assist the investigation into William Tyrrell’s disappearance.

Home Affairs Minister Karen Andrews has revealed members of the AFP Forensic Unit will conduct “a very targeted search of several key locations” today.

“The AFP certainly have a very specialist and very experienced forensic unit,” she told Neil Breen.

“Hopefully in the case now of William Tyrrell, there will be a breakthrough.”
