Brisbane’s 4BC has announced a further expansion of local content with Sofie Formica to present a new afternoon program.

An established media presenter, Formica will host 4BC Afternoons, Monday to Friday, 11am to 3pm, from October 4.

She’ll cover the breaking news, entertainment, and events that matter most to Brisbane, starting directly after The Ray Hadley Morning Show (finishing 11am from October due to daylight saving in the southern states).

“We extend a huge welcome to Sofie as she joins the ranks of our live and local 4BC strategy,”4BC Content Manager Max Dudley said.

“Sofie brings a wealth of experience and knowledge that our listeners are going to love.”

Sofie Formica said she’s thrilled to be joining the 4BC family.

“Brisbane is my hometown, and this is a great opportunity to engage with listeners, shine a spotlight on our local lifestyle, and focus on the people and businesses that are the backbone of our community,” she said.

Formica’s appointment follows the successful local launches of 4BC Breakfast with Neil Breen, 4BC Drive with Scott Emerson, Peter Psaltis hosting Wide World of Sports, and Bill McDonald and Spencer Howson headlining the local line-up on 4BC Weekends.

4BC Afternoons with Sofie Formica will commence on Monday, October 4, from 11.00am.
