‘She’s trying to deflect’: Neil slams QLD Health Minister over health worker underpayments

QLD Health Minister Yvette D’ath

Queensland health workers may have been underpaid millions of dollars and Neil Breen is calling out Health Minister Yvette D’Ath.

The health department is auditing potential underpayments made to day-shift workers after finding two lots of overpayments totalling $291,000 to over 3700 health service staff over eight years.

“I guess, it’s not out of the realm to assume that, you know, it could be in the millions,” Health Minister Yvette D’Ath said in a press conference today.

Neil Breen has called out Ms D’Ath for trying to “deflect the problem”.

“I cannot believe that the Health Minister Yvette D’Ath thinks it’s acceptable to be flippant about the use of money.”
