Senior cop ‘humbled’ by public help in tracking down wanted men

Brisbane Live

Detectives have put it down to solid police work which lead to the arrest of a man wanted for murder.

It’s alleged four men ambushed Levi Johnson, 23, outside a Mansfield gym on Brisbane’s southside, where he was allegedly stabbed to death.

Officers arrested Kyle Martin in Warwick on Saturday, following a five day manhunt.

Detective Superintendent Andrew Massingham told Peter Fegan there was some skilled detective work involved.

“What was interesting with this, right from the outset, the public assistance on this job was quite humbling to witness actually,” he said.
