The national medical regulator has linked a second case of blood clots to the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine.

The woman in her 40s in Western Australia is receiving treatment in hospital for “thrombosis with thrombocytopenia”.

Pfizer is now the recommended vaccine for those under 50 after advice was revised for the AstraZeneca vaccine.
