Search for missing PD Quizz continues for third day

Mark Levy

Police have begun their third day searching for a police dog that was separated from his handler while pursuing an offender.

Despite a handful of reported sightings of PD Quizz, officers have so far had no luck locating the three-year-old German Shepherd.

PD Quizz is believed to be on the move in a large pocket of bushland in Redbank Plains.

Senior Sergeant Steve Lindsey from the Dog Squad says while officers are throwing everything they can in the search to find him, more reports from the public can help.

“We’re getting sightings of dogs but information’s not getting to us soon enough, or it’s not supported by footage,” he told Mark Levy.

“We’re really asking residents or people seeing the dog to take some video footage of it or a photograph … and immediately ring triple-zero.
