Royce Simmons hopeful of beating previous fundraising mark on his next ‘Big Walk’

Continuous Call Team

Rugby league legend Royce Simmons says he’s hopeful of beating last year’s phenomenal fundraising record in the second edition of Royce’s Big Walk.

The 62-year-old will be walking 313 kilometres from Dubbo to Bathurst in support of dementia research and awareness.

With the walk to begin on Tuesday alongside several Rugby league legends, Simmons toldĀ The Continuous Call Team he’s hoping to raise as much money as possible.

“The sponsorship probably hasn’t been quite as good this year as last year, because a lot of things have happened over the last few years,” Simmons said.

“But let’s hope we do.”

Last year, Simmons raised over $1-million for dementia research in the inaugural walk.
