Romy Teitzel will make her debut tonight in the women’s Maroons team for the first of two epic Origin rounds.

After just missing out last year, Romy Teitzel will be on the Queensland bench tonight.

Ms Teitzel told Peter Psaltis on 4BC Wide World of Sports that “it’s the epidemy of our game to play in State of Origin… finally being named on the bench I’m ready to go and I think I’m pretty well prepared”.

Ms Teitzel also confirmed what her coach Tahnee Norris previously told Peter Psaltis on 4BC Wide World of Sports, that ‘fit and fast’ is the motto carrying the women’s squad through to the Origin series.

Women’s State of Origin game 1 will kick off at 7.45pm (AEST) tonight.
