MML

The federal opposition leader says Anthony Albanese should front up and apologise over soaring electricity prices.

Households are being warned power prices will rise by around 50 per cent over the next two years.

Labor has repeatedly pledged to reduce power bills by up to $275  a year from 2025.

Peter Dutton told Ray Hadley the Prime Minister is breaking the trust he had with Australians when promising to reduce electricity costs.

“There is a level of rising anger and dismay with some of the decisions made by this government.

“If you’ve made a promise you now can’t keep, explain why.”
