Ray Hadley calls for immediate ban on Taipan helicopter
Ray Hadley believes the MRH-90 Taipan helicopter at the centre of a military helicopter crash in Queensland “shouldn’t ever go back in the air”.
Ray’s comments come after four army airmen went missing off the North Queensland coast after their helicopter went down on Friday night.
While the cause of the crash is unknown, it’s since been revealed there were several safety concerns over the MRH-90 Taipan helicopter series.
The MRH-90’s remaining fleet has been grounded following the incident.
“They shouldn’t ever go back in the air, in any reasonable timespan,” he said.
