A few guests from the club have dropped by to have a chat, including Tuncurry trainer Terry Evans.
Ray Hadley: “I’ve run into a bloke here today who used to be my neighbour.
“And he just made an announcement to the gathering here that he moved out because it was too noisy!”
Terry Evans: “Well, it was!”
Ray Hadley: “It wasn’t me, it was the four kids!”

Ray caught up with the President of the Tuncurry-Forster Jockey Club Garry McQuillan and spoke about the redevelopment of the race track.
“Well, it was something that really needed to be finished,” Gary said.
“The old chaps who started it, time beat them. We gave them life memberships before they passed and they were fantastic people in this town.
“So I said, we’ve got to pick up the ball and run with this and we’ll turn this into something special.
“And I asked them to commit to me for the next three years and all my mates did and some stayed on for the 17 years and are still with me.”
