Raiders’ centre Jarrod Croker to return after knee surgery
Canberra Raiders centre Jarrod Croker is looking forward to playing again and resuming his NRL career after stem-cell surgery on his knee.
He played down his big return, saying he is focused on the game and excited to be on the field with his team.
“The only difference is .. I’ve got about 1000 messages over a couple of days everyone wishing me all the best, it felt like my debut in that regard, but other than that another normal week, another normal week of training,” he told Peter Psaltis on Wide World of Sports.
On the possibility of retiring before he reached the 300 games, he says there was a lot of speculation.
“There was a lot of media stuff that was said, and obviously when it keeps getting said it does cross your mind [to retire].”
But he says if the stem cell treatment on his knee hadn’t worked, it may have been another story.
