Queensland’s hospital wait times are far too high

The wait times at Queensland’s hospitals have been revealed, and people are waiting for up to 14 hours.

Government data has unveiled that the Princess Alexandra Hospital had the longest wait time, with an individual waiting 13 hours and 37 minutes to be seen.

Maria Boulton, President of the Australian Medical Association Queensland, shared with Peter Gleeson on 4BC Drive, “It’s really hard because doctors, paramedics, and nurses are doing the best they can, given that there is only one of them, right?

“The system is not really helping, and it puts a lot of stress on the paramedics, nurses, and doctors who strive to provide services as quickly as possible, but they just can’t do it with the resources they have been given,” Ms. Boulton said.
