Queensland union boss urges Premier to quell influence of lobbyists
The Queensland union boss has urged Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk to take action against lobbying.
It comes after the state’s corruption watchdog revealed the potential for corruption had increased with a surge in the practice.
CFMEU state secretary Michael Ravbar told Neil Breen it’s time for the Premier to take firm action.
“My concern is Palaszczuk’s getting captured, and listening to the lobbyists,” he said on 4BC Breakfast.
“When she should be listening to Queenslanders, and actually governing for all, and not for a small minority.
“So at the end of the day, when you have concerns like that, you need to raise it.”
