Queensland astrophysicists are helping lead the world’s first commercial space telescope mission to find life on distant planets.

The $150 million Twinkle space telescope will launch in 2024 on a seven-year mission.

University of Southern Queensland astrophysicist Duncan Wright told Chris Smith finding life on other planets is a “high priority”.

“But it is an incredibly difficult thing to do.

“The likelihood of this helping us is almost 100 per cent.”
