The Queensland government has launched a parliamentary inquiry into the safety of electric mobility devices like e-scooters and e-bikes.

The Queensland government has launched a parliamentary inquiry into the safety of electric mobility devices like e-scooters and e-bikes. The inquiry will assess current regulations, injury data, and infrastructure to determine if stronger safety measures or legislative changes are needed.

Minister For Transport and Main Roads Brent Mickelberg told 4BC Drive host Gary Hardgrave “It’s very clear that there is a considerable amount of community concern in relation to their use. ”

“It’s going to take a multi-faceted response to address the issue,” Mickelberg continued.
