Pubs and hospitality venues are enjoying a roaring trade this holiday season, the first time in two years without COVID-19 restrictions and density limits.

Iconic Brisbane pub the Story Bridge Hotel has been packed out with revellers for the Boxing Day Test.

But it’s there’s been plenty of pre-Christmas events too.

“It’s been an extremely busy lead-up to Christmas, we’ve had lots of Christmas parties this year starting early as well, all throughout November,” Sophie Russell from the pub told Bill McDonald.
