Psalty’s tips for Dolphins naysayers ahead of NRL debut

Dean & Sofie

The time has come for Wayne Bennett’s Dolphins to make their NRL debut against the Roosters this weekend.

While the seasoned Sydney side might look better on paper, Peter Psaltis is confident it could fall to the debutants.

“I think the Dolphins have got a squad good enough to surprise a number of teams,” he told Laurel, Gary & Mark.

The Roosters have been plagued by a nightmarish off-season, with a number of players going down with concussions and a fractured cheekbone for Joey Manu.

“Maybe with emotions flowing on Sunday, the Dolphins could get the jump on them.”

For those still in doubt following the Dolphins’ performance in the pre-season trial matches, Psalty came armed with some history.

“I’ll tell you something, Laurel, for you and other Dolphins fans, just to make you feel a little easier…”
