Queensland Parliament has gone into lockdown in response to protest action.

Speaker Curtis Pitt received advice of an “attempted intrusion of the precinct” from Queensland Police, prompting the decision.

Police outside are continuing to monitor the situation.

No arrests have been made.

Pine Rivers MP Nikki Boyd reported her Strathpine office has also been locked down, with nobody able to enter the premises.
