The Gold Coast could be home to Australia’s tallest building, right in the middle of Southport.

The plan is for two “super towers” one 100 storeys tall, the other 60 storeys.

The $400 million development is in Park Lane.

Gold Coast councillor Brooke Patterson said it was pretty exciting.

“This is what the CBD has been designed for,” she told Neil Breen on Brisbane Live.

She said it suits the area.
