Prince Harry, Meghan’s children to use royal titles

Peter Fegan

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have confirmed they will now use royal titles for their children after their daughter Lilibet’s christening in California.

Princess Lilibet was baptised on Friday by the Archbishop of Los Angeles, Prince Harry and Meghan said in a statement.

The announcement marked the first time either of the Sussexes’ children have been publicly referred to with a royal title.

It’s understood around 30 people attended the private ceremony at the couple’s home in Montecito.

UK correspondent Adam Gilchrist told Laurel, Gary & Mark while the senior royals were invited, they didn’t attend.

“They’d have had some mates around,” he said. “But otherwise, a bit of a quiet affair because it’s caught everyone on the hop.”
