It’s been a pricey winter school holidays for many Australians, with new data showing a huge price hike between 10-30 per cent for holiday activities.

Among the price hikes were reports of theme park costs soaring.

Compare the Market’s Chris Ford says the rising cost of fuel played a part.

“These increases they do range, some we have seen level from last year some up to 33 per cent more, and it really hit at a really hard time when we are feeling that pinch.”
