The state government has formally announced COVID-19 vaccines will be mandated for additional industries before the end of the year. 

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said all staff and workers in public and private schools, as well as childcare centre, correctional facility and airport staff will need to be vaccinated.

Workers must have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine by December 17 and their second by January 23, 2022.
