Premier announces $750 million spend on cancer care centre

The Premier has announced $750 million will be put aside in next week’s state budget for a dedicated cancer centre in Brisbane.
The centre will be built alongside the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with a capacity to provide care and housing to 150 cancer patients.
Annstacia Palaszczuk says the facility will be the first of its kind in Australia when it’s completed in 2028.
The state government has already flagged next week’s budget will feature a record spend on health.
