There is no doubt that poverty affects many Australians.

The impact that poverty has on individuals and families  can be devastating and leads to alienation and depression.

For those people with a disability, obtaining appropriate care and essential services when they are in poverty is even tougher.

Martin Wren is the CEO of Nova Employment and spoke with Kayley Harris about why it is essential for everyone to have the opportunity to engage in the workforce to help alleviate poverty.
