25 years ago, eight Australian universities looked at this new thing called the internet and said – here’s a chance to preserve every story ever written in this country.

The AustLit online database was launched three years later in 2001, based at the University of Queensland. AustLit’s Acting Director Dr Catriona Mills joined 4BC Weekends.
