Trial aims to improve biosecurity detection times

Researchers are using scientific developments, used in the medical sector, to improve biosecurity detection rates at our borders.

Nano-biosensors are currently used to diagnose infectious diseases like cancer.

Rural editor Sophie Clarke caught up with the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry’s Doctor Adrian Dinsdale who says they’re testing the technology on plants, to help better detect pests.
