The survey helping revive dying sports clubs

If there is one thing that can bring Aussie’s together like nothing else, it’s sports. Cricket, rugby, football, tennis… we love it all, however, the COVID-19 crisis has seen some of our favourite sporting stars left sitting on the sidelines.

In fact, a national survey conducted in May and June this year by the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF) found that close to 1 in every 4 local sporting clubs are at risk of closure due to financial strain.

The ASF is now running a 15-minute survey until the 18th of December, giving Aussie athletes the chance to tell their story and helping to provide invaluable insights into the toll this pandemic has had on athlete’s health, finances, career and families.

Chris Bond, ‘Murder Ball’ Paralympic Gold Medalist and Sports Partnership Manager for the Australian Sports Foundation joins John and Paul to discuss how this survey could be a real game changer for aspiring sports stars.
