The retired teacher honored for decades of volunteering

John Stanley

John Stanley chats to Moira Franklin, a retired primary school teacher who is one of the OAM recipients in this year’s Queen’s Birthday Honour’s list.

Moira has been volunteering in Glennifer, NSW for most of her life serving the community at Bellinger River RSL, the local Landcare and the riding groups.

And if that wasn’t enough, she has also been a breastfeeding counsellor and heavily involved in the Scouts movement.

Moira shares stories from her extraordinary life and how she has been the glue within her community.
