Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called Australia shameful for moving towards recognising Palestine as a state.

Director of Strategic Analysis Australia Michael Shoebridge says there’s been a breakdown in relationships between governments.

“That’s a problem because if we want any leverage over the Israeli government, we’ve got to have their respect and to be able to talk to them, and that looks like that’s gone,” he told Bill McDonald.
