4BC Drive host Gary Hardgrave has reacted to a news story which came out over the weekend which claimed Queensland was at risk of losing the tennis to Melbourne.

Calling it awful, he says Melbourne shouldn’t get any events, pointing to their handling of the Commonwealth Games.

He’s also called on the Crisafulli government to focus on the state following years of economic mismanagement.

“There are so many things being left undone, and people are rightly saying ‘How can we afford the Olympics when we can’t get this stuff done’,” he said.
