The Explainer: New inquiry into Whiskey Ah Go Go bombing

If you’re of a certain age, you will remember the fire-bombing of the Whiskey Au Go Go nightclub in 1973, killing 15 people, shocking Brisbane and the whole of Australia.

Career criminals John Andrew Stuart and James Richard Finch were quickly arrested, found guilty and jailed. But many questions still remain.

And now, all these years later, a new coronial inquest is to be held into the crime.

In the Explainer this week — why is there a new investigation now and what could it possibly unearth?
