This Christmas, we’re being urged to buy high quality e-scooters and e-bikes, and store them correctly to avoid lithium battery fires.

The number of fires involving lithium batteries has increased ten-fold this year, and firefighters say it’s only a matter of time before the fires become fatal.

Fire and Rescue Acting Deputy Commissioner Trent Curtin joins John Stanley he highlights how the batteries have been involved in 180 fires in the past twelve months, up from 16 the year before.
