‘Thank a First Responder Day’ aims to rally support for Australia’s front line

An Australian not-for-profit is shining a light on mental health and wellbeing support for first responders.

Fortem Australia spokesperson Gary Sanderfield told Bill McDonald on 4BC Mornings, “It’s important that we as a community come together and support [first responders], because every day we’re carrying on about our lives and having no sense that they’re even out there.”

“They’re out there putting their lives on the line and dealing with traumatic events day in and day out,” Sanderfield continued.
